bay area thrash

A metal scene started in the early 1980s in the San Francisco, CA Bay Area by thrash bands like Metallica, Testament, Exodus, Heathen, Vio-Lence, and many others. Devoted cult following.

Also used to describe a particular style of thrash, most easily recognizable by sped-up middle sections and a grounding in traditional speed metal.

2001's Thrash of the Titans benefit spotlighted several Bay Area Thrash bands reuniting to raise money for Testament singer Chuck Billy.

thrash my cats

Scour around for some money to make a purchase.

I sure would like to buy that car. Let me go home and thrash my cats, and I'll see if I can come back later with the money.
