In the Texas Hold 'Em Poker game, when a person wins the hand in the final round and on the final community card, which is called the river. Oftentimes this person will have been losing the entire hand but gambled and got lucky on the last hand. Other players at the table will often curse this person and tag him/her a "river whore"
Frederick was winning a poker hand with three of a kind Aces, but Herman got a lucky draw on the river and wound up with a straight. Frederick verbally abused Herman and called him a river whore, while Herman snickered and collected the pot.

Paradoxically, college whores rarely get into their desired schools.
"What the heck? I'm president of 3 clubs, I have perfect grades and SAT scores, and I've volunteered for a thousand hours. Why didn't I get into Harvard?"

An unfortunate situation that could have been completely avoided if not for the actions of an idiot.
man 1: "They gave me a western whopper in the Burger King drive-thru when I asked for a regular whopper. I don't like barbecue sauce OR onion rings!"
man 2: "That's a whore's way."
man 1: "It is!"
man 2: Can I have it?"
or alternately...
man 1: "Those Russian soldiers broke into my house and killed my entire family."

someone who is capable of pursuing sexual relationships with a plethora of people in life, without ever getting STDs or pregnant. Classy comes from the skill of cleanliness and the art of the one night stand. whore is only tagged on so that we may recognize that you may not be her only lover.

A person who spends a lot of time on myspace, but while on there, posts bulletins and sends messages to other people telling them to add so and so, and the person they're 'whoring' does the same for them.
