Defined mostly by the popular (for what it's worth) bands suck ass Bullet for My Valentine, A.F.I., Avenged Sevenfold, and Slipknot. Fanbase consists of emo posers wanting to be called metalheads.

A form of music which should do as its name suggests and be put to death. Simply a waste of space and instruments. It's quite immature hearing about satan and killing people over and over.

Basically the Nu-Metal and Metalcore of the 80's. Characterized by generic faggotry of all musical aspects.
The vocals induce cringing whenever heard, the riffs are bullshit power chords, the drumming is "bum-chick-bum-chick", the bass doesn't exist, and the lyrics are standard tool/douche material. The solos are not bad, but still relatively mediocre.
Oh, and it's NOT METAL.

Here is the true defintion.
The most important fact about a metal head is a person who is dedicated to the music. Not just classic metal or thrash or death metal. Nu Metal is metal to. I listen to all kinds of music death metal, thrash metal, and even Nu Metal. You people who are saying that Korn or Limp Bizkit are not true metal bands are not true metal heads so much as closed minded people who are afraid of change.
Another important part of being a metal head is you have to be a loner and only hang out with other metal heads. They can often be aggressive from being isolated from the rest of the world. However, they're very friendly towards fellow metal heads. They are not always likely to win in a fight like some have said. Many are wimps from sitting inside and listening to music or playing their instruments all day.
Many metal heads have longer hair but it's not a necessity. Leather is also not necissary and I prefer to not have it. Some heads wear clothes that are a little darker (not goth but similar) but again, it's not necisarry.
Gestures include swinghead back and forth with the rhythm of music which has been mentioned. But you guys forgot one important gesture. Devils horns. Index finger and pinky extended into the air.
Metal heads also have to be rebels. They do whatever they want whenever they want but they are not always lawless. They are much less likely to kill people than a rapper.

Monotonous shit music in which the vocals sounds like the cookie monster having a heroin overdose. The guitars usually sound intriguing until you realize they are looped and continue on with same pattern for most of the song. The bands of this genre generally appear to look like Kane and Undertaker. However, unlike the wrestlers, these bands have no sense of living whatsoever and tend to blame God for creating us all and Jesus for dying for our sins. THIS IS THE EPITOMY OF WHITE TRASH. Death metal sounds all the same with no introductions, bridges, or much vocalization (unless you consider grunting to be vocals). Thank God for bands like Korn, HIM, and Linkin Park.

It is the extreme hardcore version of Death Metal, which is the extreme hardcore version of Heavy Metal, or Metal, which is the extreme hardcore version of rock, which is the best genre of music, including all varying types of Metal.
I can't name any right now but they would have to be more metalish and screamo than Slipknot, which would be very...creepy... There is a posibility that there are no Slaughter Metal bands on the planet...but i have my hopes.......

people underrate nu metal because they are babies and don't want to try anything other than iron maiden, who suck by the way. people never even give nu metal a chance. they have not heard the great nu metal bands like mudvayne and disturbed, which actually have meaningfull lyrics, unlike Iron Maiden which sings about fricking Noah's ark in Number of the Beasts. Give nu metal a chance its the best music to ever be created
