weekend lag

A condition affecting the body's circadian clock, similar to jet lag, but instead stemming from altering one's sleep hours over a weekend of hard partying and drinking rather than from a long flight.

Franks: "Shit, I missed fluid dynamics again. Monday morning classes are so rough. It feels like it is 7 PM. What time is it?"
Jason: "It's only 8 in the morning."
Brad: "Fuck dude, that's a serious case of weekend lag. Drink some fluids and stop hitting the riverboat casino so hard in P-town."

The feeling the rider will experience from the motion of a train. The fatigue from being crushed into a seat for more than 5 hours.

Train Lag can be experienced by:
- Taking a train that originates in daylight hours and ends at night.
- Taking a train that originates in nighttime hours and ends in daylight.
- A ride that deals with multiple time zones.
- Riding in Coach Class the entire trip.
- A train ride that has at least two meals of train food.

I took Amtrak from Toronto to Chicago when I arrived I was a mess yo -- I got Train lag.

google lag

In a real-time online conversation of a technical nature, "google lag" is the 30 - 60 second delay between a person asking a question or making a statement and the time someone who has recently joined the conversation responds - the implication being that the newcomer is having to check google for information on the subject matter just to know what the hell everyone else is talking about. As excess of lag time can be indicative that someone who is never-the-less speaking excessively authoritaviely is actually pulling what they're saying off of google as much as they're pulling it out of their ass.

The following conversation is an example of "google lag"

14:19:24 <Debolaz> And quantum computers will shatter the Internet's encryption! :D
14:19:43 <skye> theorhetically, although quantumn encryption methods based on Schroedingers Cat based theories of quantumn observation have already been successfully defeated in a lab.
14:20:00 *** f00 has joined #$bar
14:20:01 <Debolaz> SchrΓ·dingers cat was a thought experiment to demonstrate how absurd the copenhagen interpretation of qm was. SchΓ·dinger himself did not believe the cat would be both dead and alive.
14:20:10 <skye> true, but that wasn't my point
14:20:23 <toor> yeah, it was the idea of not being able to observe a photon without changing its state and therefore changing the hash value of the data being transmitted.
14:21:14 <f00> Schroedingers Cat has to do with observing a cat in a box, what's that got to do with data

I lagged.

Excuse which generally goes without questioning when someone playing Call of Duty messes up, misses a shot, or gets totally embarrassed.

Kid: Hahaha dude you're so bad.

Kid: Oh my bad.

shag lag

The effects are similar to jet lag, but on this occasion the overwhelming tiredness is owing to a night full of bollock-draining sex. the following day they can't function properly in every sense of the word.

-Fancy coming with us for a kick about this morning?
-Fraid I can't, mate. I just don't have the energy.
-Suffering from Shag lag, eh?... Lucky bugger.

Lag Advantage

When an entity (be it human or computer) is winning or beating an opposing entity on a videogame, computer game, or other electronic device because of slow connection over the Internet or delay in the function of the device.

Dude, the only reason why you won the last multiplayer sudden death match was because of Lag Advantage. If my connection was faster, I would've won.
