Facebook Follow-up

The act of writing on someone's Facebook wall, poking them, or sending them a Bumper Sticker after seeing them or hanging out with them, often to make light of a joke or incident from the hang-out session. Usually pointless, but creates excitement in the form of a new notification.

Girl #1: Matt and I played frisbee together earlier today, and usually he writes on my wall after we hang out. I'm wondering what I did wrong.
Girl #2: What? No Facebook follow-up?
Mother: Kids these days and their inorganic methods of communication.

Mickey Mouse Followers

A term used for Celebrities who are the biggest frauds and have fake followers that shouldn’t count because those followers aren’t real.

I’m literally shaking. I was walking on the streets when suddenly Fraudison gae came and shot my dog When I asked why she said it’s because she only has Mickey Mouse followers and want real followers. Shame on you Fraudison

hard act to follow

When a sexual partner compares you subsequent partners they have had and provides you this compliment, it means you are one of the best partners they have had and that others that have followed have not measured up.

Bob, since I have been with you intimately sexually, sex in the summer, you have been a hard act to follow. lover, sex, partner

follow-on offering

(FINANCE) issue of stock by a firm that already has stock in circulation.

Follow-on offerings account for a little over 83% of new finance capital raised on the NYSE. The other 17% was initial public offering (IPO).

Between 1 January and 31 August 2010, 46 companies had made an initial public offering on the NYSE; another 33 had made a follow-on offering. But while the IPO's accounted for $9.5 billion, the FOO's accounted for almost $55 billion.
