Asexual

A person who does not experience sexual attraction to either gender, but may still experience romantic and physical attraction and even participate in sexual acts for the physical pleasure, etc.
Asexual culture and it's definition still evolving. There are many sub-groupings of asexuals and this often leads to a misunderstanding of the terms actual definition.

Asexual

Someone who experiences a lack of sexual attraction.
The word utilizes the Greek prefix a- which means "a lack of or without".
An asexual person is still capable of feeling other forms of attraction, but will not experience sexual attraction.

asexual

a person who is not interested in or does not desire sexual activity, either within or outside of a relationship. asexuality is not the same as celibacy, which is the willful decision to not act on sexual feelings. asexuals, while not physically sexual-type folks, are none the less quite capable of loving, affectionate, romantic ties to others.

while many women involved in so-called "boston marriages" had asexual relationships, their partnerships have none-the-less been claimed by some as part of lesbian history.

asexual

Someone who doesn't experience sexual attraction. Often confused with autosexual (sexually attracted to oneself), asexual reproduction (when organisms can reproduce without sex), celibacy/abstinence (the choice not to have sex). Asexuals may or may not be romantically attracted to others, and may or may not have a sex drive (though not directed towards anyone or anything).

Asexuality is _not_ a choice, and you cannot decide to become one. They are just born that way, the same way as people are straight, gay, bi, or whatever.

1. Jill: I hate men, I'm just going to become asexual
Me: no, you can't "become" asexual

2. I am asexual, I am not attracted to men or women.

Asexual

From my point of view, and my definition, the term asexual has some variations of definition. Asexual can either mean that you're not sexually attracted to people, meaning you don't desire anything sexual such as having sex, or asexual can also mean that you aren't attracted to anything. Nothing will 'trigger' feelings towards something or someone.

She was an asexual woman
She wanted a boyfriend but had no intention of any sexual relation, making her asexual.

asexual

To be driven in life not by sex, but by garlic bread. Asexual people experience little to no sexual attraction at all and instead focus on the more important things in life, such as dragons and Italian cuisine. Some of them may still experience romantic attraction, whether to a fictional character or a real person, but it's common for them to have no interests in relationships altogether.

I took them to a romantic Italian dinner, but because they're asexual all they cared about were the garlic breadsticks.
