A trendy clothing store that models a casual, classic, cool lifestyle and nice looking clothes. They specialize in vintage and worn clothing. They typically play loud, stylish music and have very nice store setups. All the people that slam A&f just wish that they bought their clothes there. They are also the owner of Hollister Co., a company marketed to high school age students that projects a California beach lifestyle. A great store!
Dude: Abercrombie rocks, I love that place
Hot Girl: I know, it rocks!

A store which over-prices their actual cheap-quality clothes. Nothing there is made in America, it's made in sweatshops overseas while the owners are gaining unimaginable profits from their demeaning t-shirts, etc.
Not fashionable in any means, as hard as it is to realize.
Made from cheap textiles, etc.
LIM Student: God, if I had a dollar for everytime I saw somebody wear jeans from Abercrombie and Fitch I'd be rich and buy some more jeans that are made in America.
LIM student 2: Yeah, I'd get some shirts that are made from natural fiber.

A clothing store geared towards the "All American Lifetyle" though it is made in sweat shops in Malaysia where little kids are paid 10 cents an hour and are overworked. Usually preps shop there. Abercrombie is publicly critisized for advertising soft porn in teenagers, and the infamous "eye candy thong" sold in the kids Abercrombie.

Of course you are paying for the label at Abercrombie & Fitch, just as you are in any other upper-middle class store. You purchase A&F clothing for the same reason you purchase Seven jeans, Juicy Tops, or a Coach handbag. I recently bought a Burberry scarf, and it cost me $220. I could of bought a similar scarf for $20, I'm sure. I bought the Burberry because the pattern is recognisable to most people, just like the embroidered moose on every A&F top. If you are willing to pay the extra dollar for a pair of jeans, knock yourself out.
The signature back pocket design on every pair of A&F jeans says I take care of myself enough to fit into these jeans, and I can afford to pay $75 dollars for them. And yes, there are A&F Jeans for the mere $75. If you aren't fortunate enough to be able to afford clothes at A&F, can't fit into them, or are rebelling against the label go cry yourself a river and get over it. As we all know, you can get the same quality shirt or jeans at Mervyns or JC Pennys. Go there and buy your clothes since its obvious you don't care about labels. For those of you who are to big to squeeze youself into a pair of jeans, roll your bodies over to the gym and stop hating A&F simply because you eat to much to shop there.
I'd like all of you to go to Nordstrom or Nieman Marcus so you can get a real choke on designer labels and how much they cost. Stop giving others crap on A&F because they enjoy dressing comfortably, fashionably, and more luxurious.
Friend: Where did you get that cute shirt?
Girl: Abercrombie & Fitch
Friend: EwW! Label Whore! We all hate you now because you bought a shirt from a store I don't shop at!!!

Not to be confused with the old Abercrombie and Fitch, todays Abercrombie and Fitch is a classless and distastefull clothing store. Unfotunately people have come to believe that A&F is extremely preppy, none more so than the people who wear it. The irony is that A&F and its cousins Aeropostale, Hollister, and AE are nothing but cheap and sleazy, as compared to the real prep stores like Vineyard Vines, Polo Ralph Lauren, Brooks Brothers, and J.Crew. Therefore, those who wear A&F should not be looked upon as preps, but as promiscuous and tasteless. The slogans on A&F shirts prove my point as well as the near pornographic catalogs these stores distribute. These values are the exact opposite of true preps, who believe and in ettiquette and conservative/classy dress. A&F therefore is a sleazy store that middle class America associates with being preppy, while real preps just look at those trashy fifty dollar torn up polos and just laugh.
Trip: That girl thinks she's so preppy with her tiny Abercrombie and Fitch skirt and tiny top.
Maddie: It's such a shame A&F is the reason so many people have STD's.
Trip: Wanna hit the tennis club, Bif and Muffy just called and they are coming in the Range Rover.
Maddie: Sure. A&F is the opposite of preppy, and they think they are. Oh, the irony!
Trip: Don't worry, we were born with enough class and intellect not to associate with those classless wannabes.
