A French Candadian band who may not satisfy your ohsohardcore persona, but still can make quality music.
Whilst everyone thinks they are complaining about their own lives, the truth is, they write for their fans. They are a down-to-eath band who still keeps in mind that without the fans, they'd be nothing. Pierre, David, Jeff, Chuck and Sebastien all go out of their ways to make sure that no matter how "popular" their music may get, they still take the time out to meet up and talk to their fans. Which, is quiet frankly, more than any of your OMGZIMSEWHxC bands could ever say.
While still doing that, they have donated a lot to good causes such as the Tsunami Relief Fund and Live 8. Because they know the real problems in the world and just because they were fortunate enough to be born in a country where they don't have to worry about hunger or poverty, doesn't mean they're not "allowed" to write about problems that everyday teenagers have, you know... in a non-third world country.
They only mean to do good, and if you can't see that, well. Then, get your head out of your hardcore scene ass and stop being so stuck up.
Scene kid: Oooh. I'm waaaay too hXc cewl to listen to a poppy band like Simple Plan. Maaan. Those guys are sellouts... and, because I was told so: Sellouts are laaame.

Simple Plan is one of the best bands out there. They are my favourite band and i listen to their CD's Everyday. I don't get it why people have to always diss someone elses favourite band. You don't see me dissing your favourite band so why do you diss mine?

Brilliance.
Tehy are a fuckin great band. Anyone who says theyre only popular cuz theyre good looking its not true. They are popular because they are good. Also, i would like to point out that they are not liked just by people who want to believe they are punk or rock or whatever. Poeple like simple plan because simple plans music is the brilliant, whatever genre you want to call it.
And theyre a nice bunch of guys with a lot of talent.
take david for example. He sung in reset when he was 16, in front of thousands of people, a song which he and his band wrote themselves, i a language which he hadnt been speaking very long (hes french canadian so his first language is french.). He can sing, and play guitar, bass and drums. Dont try and tell me thats not talented. Can you do better?
They are very nice when you talk to them aswell. Of all the bands ive met they were one of the nicest.

Refers to the mental state people are sometimes enter while masturbating, where they want to extend and prolong the pleasure they receive from masturbation. They make grandiose "plans" on how they will carry everything out to maximize their pleasure. This state of mind is quickly lost after climax has passed.
I was going to go out last Friday night, but instead I stayed home and made plans.
