connecticut

state next to boston and new york. richest state, with wealthy suburbs such as fairfield, new canaan, avon, simbsbury, glastonbury. a lot of famous people live here, and if you go anywhere and you say your from connecticut people assume you are rich. A state where the kids have better cars then the teachers, and the lunch ladies pop their collars. Pretty much every high school student has a northface backpack and jacket, and if you are a girl who doesn't own birkenstocks and or uggs people will think your poor. Every teenager from the ages 15-22 goes to the DMB concerts in the summer at the meadows and gets either too drunk or high to remember half the concert. The package stores close at 8, and people think the only highways are 91 and 84.

"where are you from?"
"connecticut."
"oh.. no wonder you just baught a 15,000 dollar dress"

Connecticut

i am from Connecticut and let me say I AM NOT RICH!!! also, i dont wear ambercrombie and hollister. The reason why it looks like were rich is b/c celebrities choose to spend their gazzillion dollars on buying homes here; their income is what makes our income per capita so large. i do not think New Jersey sucks b/c i like it there. maybe its a misconception but People from CT arnt stuck up snobs who hate you. so its not nice to write things that make us look like horrible people.

beacuse i'm not a meanie
its making me put connecticut!

Connecticut

Being in CT my whole life heres what I learned.

- everyone in Greenwich has a BMW or an Audi + Shitload of SUVs
- we are a preppy state
- you either drive an average car, or a great one.

(Snobby Towns):
Greenwich
Darien
New Canaan
Westport
Stamford (mostly North Stamford)

"How much did you pay for that?"
"Wow man thats cheap.."

"Connecticut is one of, if not the richest state."

Connecticut

Oh Connecticut..where to begin? Growing up in CT you think it is the worst place to be, but once out you know it is a good place to raise a family. Once you say you're from CT automatically the next question is.."Are you from Greenwich?" NEWS FLASH EVERYONE-CONNECTICUT HAS MANY OTHER TOWNS BESIDES GREENWICH- Yes many of us our Preppy's that went to either private or parochial schools even though many of our public schools are just as good. Once out of CT, let's say in college, saying you're from CT just sounds better than saying for instance New Jersey. When you are from CT there is no reason to EVER venture into New Jersey, personally one would rather go to Massachusetts then Jersey. If you are from CT and you go to school in the NYC area, and meet someone from Bergen County, NJ they will claim they are just as preppy and rich as "you Connecticut people" are. No Bergen County, your not, sorry. And finally Connecticut has TWO baseball teams, The Yankees and The Red Sox, depending on where you live is who you cheer for.

Non-CT Resident: "Where are you from?"
CT Resident: "Connecticut."
Non-CT Resident: "Oh are you from Greenwich?"
CT Resident: "No, I am not from Greenwich."
Non-CT Resident: "So you must be a Sox fan coming from New England?"
CT Resident: "No I'm from Western half of CT, that's Yankee territory."
Not everybody can be from Connecticut..

connecticut

Ahh Connecticut. Us Connecticutians are wealthy, intelligent and "well-bred." Growing up "inside" this state really gives you no view on the world. We don't experience racism for the few non-white people in the local high school were most likely bussed there from the inner city (but it's okay, they got to pick their bus seat). We make up for our few bad neighborhoods with the extensive sections with lush million dollar plus mcmansions. We don't know what it's like to "go-without" and don't intend to. We party at the meadows and don't remember the concert. Dave Matthews concerts in the summer pretty much qualify as state holidays (for the young that is). Taking advantage of the fact that our police do nothing, we ride around in our expensive BMC or Mercedes sedans and complain (illegally) on our cell phones that Daddy didn't buy us the SUV. We pop our collars as animals mark their territory. What is our territory you ask? It's in a good location you see; between Boston and New York.

1:"Hey, you're from Connecticut right?"
2:"Yeah..."
1:"So you're rich?"
2:"Why does everyone always think that!?"
1:"Well you are, aren't you?"
2:"well.........yeah but...."

connecticut

A rich state, probably the richest in the country. It has many rich states like Greenwich and Westport (Where I live).

A lot of people assume that were snobs because we shop at places like Hollister, Abercrombie, Juicy Couture and have LV, coach, and pradda bags. And also have people like Martha S., Paul Newman, 50 cent and Johnny Deep who have houses here.

You can say that you might find 1 snob in like 100 people in Westport because that is true. And just to add as a comment

I think blond89 has mistaken info because people in Westport do not wear flip flops in the winter, we do not think bad things about New Jersey and New Haven. Also the cars at our high school are not worth more than our high school. Currently our high school is ΒΌ of a mile. Last comment WE ARE NOT GAY! This is just the truth from a girl who has lived in Westport for her whole life. In Connecticut there are some poor towns too so don’t judge places from what you hear. I agree with Martha, a lot of people in Westport do pop the collar.

One day when I'm walking in NY. A girl is taking a survey on fashion. And She walkes up to me and says
"I love that that LV Handbag!" "Is it real?" she askes.
I answer "erm...yeah"(I'm thinking to myself why would someone wear a fake one?)
"Do you live in Connecticut?"
"Yea," I answered
"So you must one of the girls that live in an over a million dallor house right?"
"yeah."
So she glares at me and goes Hmph, and stops off.

Connecticut

A tiny state where half of its population live with a domesticated chimpanzee while the other half will saw off one of their own arms as soon as it becomes necessary, and they all misrepresent their income in census time in order to keep alive the myth that their state is rich.

If you are from Connecticut, you are:

A) Living with a domesticated chimpanzee that may or may not rip out you or your neighbor’s face at any time.

B) You might at some point in the near future saw off your own arm with a saw.

C) You have and will most likely continue to misrepresent your level of income to the census takers in order to keep alive the myth that your tiny state is rich.

D) A and C.

E) B and C.

F) All of the above.
