A term originally coined by members of the 27th Infantry Battallion of the Irish Defence Forces used to declare a statement as truth. Can also be used to challenge a statement in question format. It is dishonourable to lie under oath of a real message. Originated as a message over SINCGARS radio during a training exercise. It is now in use among the Dublin civilian population.
Originated from "for real." Used primarily by Valley Girls to exclaim their excitement about something. Used in place of "for realz."
