A subgroup of members of the gothic culture, who pride themselves on preening to resemble glam rock artists such as David Bowie, Blondie, and Elton John. People within this subculture tend to wear lots of shiny things, such as rhinestones, glitter and lip gloss. Extensive amounts of blush and/or eyeshadow in bright colours is also predominant.

The gothic subculture, as much of the subcultures, has a more mainstream version of its collective which resides close to the actual subculture, and by mainstream is often mistaken for its father-category, but is often scorned by goths themselves as being a more style-over-substance collective.
Named because it is generally comprised of teenagers, a younger large audience than the gothic culture itself, the members of the baby-goth group often wear makeup and black clothes as goths do, but are much more attracted to anti-christian and satanic elements, excessive eye-liner, black lipstick, trench-coats, and band t-shirts.
Music is a major influence of the culture, lead by artists such as Marilyn Manson, Rob Zombie, Korn, and other teen-angst based bands of which image plays a main part, as an exaggerated and more vulgar interpretation of the gothic imagery.
Marilyn Manson, The character 'Nancy' from the motion picture 'The Craft', though baby-goths do appear in famous roles, mostly they are found congregating and socialising in their teen years.

A term adopted by many Youtubers (from the popular online series "Goth Lyfe"), which has now broken forth onto the mainstream. "Goth on a Stick" can be used as a term for someone who is being told off, or is in trouble, usually someone who other members of society may see as a stoner goth metalhead emo or many other minority subcultures unappreciated by most of society. Using this term does not mean that the person actually using the term nessecarily disrespects the fashion.

A goth chick is not defined by her clothing. Goth chicks are usually artistic and intelligent individuals. Goth chicks might have endured pain in the past which might have affected their color choices in clothing, but it does not make them suicidal, depressed, or crazy. Though some might be some of these things most goth chicks are just normal girls with a different style from the "norm". These chicks have no problem expressing themselves fashionably, verbally, or through rebellion, they don't care what the public thinks about them because they are content with who they are.
Some might think its "cool" to be a "goth chick" but those are reffered to as posers. Goth is not a style or fashion trend it is a way of life or mind set. No person can just wake up one day and say "Oh, I think I'll be a goth chick today!" A goth chick did not choose to be a goth she has always been one and has chosen to embrace her way of thinking and to be proud of what she is. If you have ever "decided to be goth" I pity you and im sorry your'e a modern moron of trends, for this means you are a true poser.
Goth chicks are not defined by their clothing...EVER! If there's a group of chicks who sit in a corner talking about how they enjoyed cutting together last night with their black hair, trench coats, and masses of eyeliner...they aren't goth. Though some might be, goth chicks are usually very happy, humorous, creative people. They are fun to be around and fun to talk to. Most people are scared of goth chicks because they think they'll come after them with their razorblades and cans of hair dye, but its quite the contrary. These people just aren't afraid of making a statement and aren't afraid of societies' cruel words against them. So, actually, goth chicks are probably much happier and more content with their life then you are.
TRUE : Being outspoken about what you truely believe in and giving a crap about what the world has to say about it and wearing what you please whether it be tight black pants with a long black jacket and dyed hair or jeans, a tight shirt, and blonde hair. ITS A MIND-SET NOT A FASHION.
FALSE : Wearing all black to get attention from the world so they can see how the world has mis-treated you and how we all need to grovel at your feet and need to give you sympathy for all your pain and sorrow.....POSER!!
....by the way if you refer yorself as a goth chick just for attention you are non-other then the sucky posers of this world

We have heavy values in family & beliefs , and a bit rebellious in nature when it comes to change in or country and its foundation, we love our black clothing,nail polish, and piercings and tats...lol, we believe in our guns & knives, hunting and farming, we judge no one for what they believe, live by example and have an appreciation for all things Goth! but "DON'T TREAD ON ME"!
Your NOT a Goth Poser: if your depressed, wear black and have a fancy knife collection, can gut a fish w/out puking...lol, dark decor in your home and listen to Dark sounding Music...

a person of the gothic subculture that buys all of there clothes at high dollar stores( you know which one comes to mind) then basicly brags about it, they are the preps of the subculture and are more apt to be depressed over credit card statements then the fact that the world is ending slowly.

someone who wants to be goth but isn't
'x' (not his real name) loves blink 182 and good charlotte, as well as new found glory and eminem. he wears a tonne of shit on his arms to school and a spiked choker on his neck. he is constantly telling evry1 how coll goths are. he wants to be a goth and is fooling no-one, but he doesnt realise it.... whereas me, i just have longish hair and like metallica and machine head so to most chavs at school I am a goth... hahahaha. even the chavs know x aint a goth... hahaha.
