A) When you think it's perfectly okay to perform such sexual acts as licking nipples and/or "going down" on prostitutes, as you would only when making love with your significant other.
B) When a 'John' goes beyond just having sex with a prostitute and often tries kissing and caressing her intimate areas, making the situation intensely awkward, he is then known as a 'Dave'.
