This is corporate slang for sacking workers, used to avoid actually admitting that this is what you're doing.

Workers beware! They think they can stop us fighting back by using these kinds of words so we don't figure out what they're up to until it's too late.

The company is committed to a long-term project of downsizing and restructuring in response to changes in the world market.

Someone who is always talking about the potential for being laid off, and tries to get others to be worried with her. A variation on the term Debbie Downer from Saturday Night Live.

Johnny: Man JT is always talking about layoffs. It's starting to make me worry!

Sloan: I know, he is such a Debbie Downsize.

Verb.
1) To delete (defriend) friends on your Facebook profile that you do not know or hardly know.

Because Bob only knows 200 of his 1,000 facebook friends, Bob decided to Downsize his Facebook.

John facebook downsized his profile and he now only has fifty friends compared to his original six hundred.

Used as an alternate for defriending people off of Facebook.

action verb: The act of defriending a large group of people from one's Facebook because of a number of reasons (i.e. removing an ex, people you don't talk to any more, that random from the party last night, etc).

verb: to downsize one's Facebook friends

Tom: I decided to Facebook downsize after each school year.

Jerry: Yeah, I did some Facebook downsizing after I broke up with that whore Stacy. I didn't need her sorority Facebook stalking me anymore.
