Drauma

A portmanteau of "drama" and "trauma", where you experience a trauma response as a result of somebody else's drama.

If they can't sort their shit out, my drauma is going to go into overdrive.

Drauma

Drama + Trauma (Drauma)
When family drama gets so intense it leaves you with lifelong emotional scars.

Particularly common in South Asian families ( Desi Families), especially during conflicts between extended relatives. The chaos is often unnecessary and leaves you longing for the innocence of childhood that you can never get back.

Those responsible for creating *drauma* are often guilty of:

- Offering unsolicited advice despite their own messy lives. (Shitty af)
- Sobbing over minor inconveniences.

- Playing the victim to avoid accountability.

- Struggling with reality checks or respecting boundaries.

They want everything their way and crumble when faced with any pushback.

"OMG, It's always the same sob story. I can't handle the drauma anymore!"
"Leila is such a draumatic person. She snitches on people, and cries when she's called out for it."
"The drauma is too much to handle. I'm out !"
