crock of shit

Something that is false, misleading, full of lies, etc.

crock of shit

More politely known as "a pile of poo", the term "a crock of shit" derives from an ancient Roman custom that coincidentally took place in Roman times. It referred literally to a pot into which people would excrete if they were particularly bored by whichever freelance philosoper happened to be talking rubbish at the time. The Roman empire employed crock-monitors who were each assigned to a philosopher, and it was their job to monitor the pot (or crock). Should the crock become full, it would be presented to the philospher, who was obliged, by law, to announce that it bore a remarkable resembence to himself, thus proclaiming he was full of crap and was, in fact, talking a crock of shit.

crock of shit

1. An earthenware pot, brimming with smelly excrement.

2. Bullshit, lies... deviations from the truth

1. He's shits in a crock, rather than the much popularised toilet, and as a result he's unemployed.

2. Tony had to admit that the crock of shit he and George had just made up would probably backfire on him.

Crock of shit

An acceptable term in describing the $700B Bailout Bill passed on October 3, 2008 by the American government to help support failing corporations that don't have any business existing.

The wooden arrow clause in that bailout is a crock of shit.

crock of shit

When you express your disbelief in what someone is saying and you believe it to believe false, or an outright lie, and it is presented to you as if it were real or totally the opposite as if it were correct or good for you. Three words often associated with what the United States Government says about something, or what words are often spoken from of the president's mouth, or presidential candidates mouth, or any other government official attempting to convince you of something that is totally absurd and wrong or bad for you, not good. To indicate that someone is attempting to present to you an entire bucket full of defecation, excrement, or shit.

Examples of a crock of shit: β€œyou can keep your doctor’s if you want”, β€œit is not going to cost any more tax money then you already pay”, β€œonly citizens of the United States will be allowed to receive...”
