A large tablet that wants to become a laptop but fails to do so. iPad Pros are mainly targeted towards the creative folks that like to draw. It's great for creativity and entertainment purposes, and while it's not a bad device to do work on, it still cannot rival laptops for sheer productivity (even in 2021). You might as well just get a Microsoft Surface or any 2-in-1 windows laptop instead.
John made the right choice and went for the Microsoft Surface Pro instead of an iPad Pro for his productivity needs.

An overpriced underpowered laptop that comes without a keyboard. Designed for professional players of Tic-Tac-Toe.
Remember to bring your iPad Pro to the Tic-Tac-Toe World Championship.

The ridiculously overpriced piece of garbage keyboard and trackpad case for the iPad Pro. It makes your iPad float in the air, but come on? Who really needs that? Who, in their right mind would pay $350 for a keyboard that can't tilt it that far back, a small trackpad, and no function keys? Due to the rubbery material, the outer surface smudges really easily! Complete waste of money.
Did you see the new iPad Pro that came out?
Yes, and Apple also announced the new iPad Pro Magic Keyboard with a built-in trackpad?
How much is it?
$300 or $350. The Apple tax, you know.
$350 for a keyboard?!
Still an iPad. At launch is still just a tablet that has an SoC (System-on-Chip) that is way to powerful for the device because iPadOS (the operating system for iPad is just too limited in terms of… anything.. really…?
The promotional material for the iPad pissed off the tech enthusiast corner of the internet. Apple apologized, then moved on.
Now tech enthusiasts are just waiting for Apple’s WWDC24 to see if they FINALLY allow users to run MacOS on the iPad to fully take advantage of the new SoC.
The new M4 iPad Pro is an amazing Netflix machine.
