immunoglobulins

Proteins that specifically recognize and help combat viruses, bacteria, and other invaders of the body. Immunoglobulins are made by cells of the immune system called B lymphocytes, a type of white blood cell.

Chris' lack of immunoglobulins was the cause of his extremely painful death but fortunately, nobody cared.

IgG Immunoglobulin

A class of antibodies found in the body. IgG immunoglobulins are the only antibodies that are able to cross to the placenta. The IgG antibody exists as a single monomeric form and is incredibly important in the body's immune response - especially in cell recognition, opsonization, and complement activation.

"The IgG immunoglobulin antibody was the immunogloblin that was first found in the developing embryo"
