native pride

The very state of a native american being proud of their culture.
Native Pride is often displayed on clothing and accessories- hats, shirts, pants, sweaters, bags... you name it. Feathers, braided hair, and beads (the traditional look) is sometimes shown too. Some natives even get tattoos showing their Native Pride.

Native Pride has absolutely nothing to do with racism and is not some sort of uprising. Some people get offended because they assume different things. For example: We think we are better than you. Wrong. We are keeping our culture strong.

-He's got feathers in his hair, an eagle on his chest, is called by his native name. He has Native Pride.

-"I want a tattoo. It should say 'Native Pride'."

-The English have England, Germans have Germany, Italians have Italy, Egyptians have Egypt, Indians have India, Spanish have Spain, Russians have Russia, Chinese have China....(continues).... there is no 'Natives have America'. But we're here, and we're proud.

Pride and Joy

Well you've heard about love givin' sight to the blind
My baby's lovin' cause the sun to shine
She's my sweet little thang, she's my pride and joy
She's my sweet little baby, I'm her little lover boy
Yeah I love my baby, heart and soul
Love like ours won't never grow old
She's my sweet little thang, she's my pride and joy
She's my sweet little baby, I'm her little lover boy
Yeah I love my lady, she's long and lean
You mess with her, you'll see a man get mean
She's my sweet little thang, she's my pride and joy
She's my sweet little baby, I'm her little lover boy

Well I love my baby, like the finest wine
Stick with her until the end of time
She's my sweet little thang, she's my pride and joy
She's my sweet little baby, I'm her little lover boy
Yeah I love my baby, my heart and soul
Love like ours won't never grow old
She's my sweet little thang, she's my pride and joy
She's my sweet little baby, I'm her little lover boy

Mexican Pride

Pride based on a people who have so much to be proud of. There is so much cultural richness in Mexican culture to be proud of: food, music, dance, ceremonies, work ethic, family values. Mexican pride means having pride in enchiladas, guacamole, pozole, mole, tamales, churros, raspados, salsas, tortillas, beans, caldo, champurrado, atole, nopales, etc. It means being proud of Mariachi, banda, norteรฑas, corridos, rancheras, folklรณrico, danzas prehispanicas, and all the rhythm that flows through our veins. One celebrates el Dia de los Muertos, las Posadas, la Navidad, El grito, Dia de los reyes. The proud Mexican is a hard worker, who values family, respectfulness, hospitality, simplicity, and bravery. Mexican pride involves loving the Tri-color flag of green, white and red. A proud Mexican knows what the flag color stands for and the historical basis of the Eagle on the cactus eating the snake. A proud Mexican knows and loudly sings "Mexicanos al Grito de Guerra" at Soccer events. Finally, a proud Mexican has an unwavering faith and love for his country. Although the government may not be handling the country properly, the proud Mexican understands that he/she loves where he/she came from because it is a beautiful place.

The individual who loves and is proud of the country of Mexico has a great deal of Mexican pride
