Debut (pronounciation: day-byu) is a word meaning the first of something, most commonly referring to a musicians first album.

The most common examples of this is Bjรถrkโ€™s first album, called debut (1993) and Taylor Swiftโ€™s self-titled first album dubbed โ€˜debutโ€™ by fans.
