gri-chee. Noun. American South. c. 1980.

The subtle, reluctant, yet revealing smile that forms prematurely on the face of a deadpan joke-teller who moves too quickly from set-up to punchline.

Nathan tried to look serious, but his wide-toothed gritchie made it obvious he was about to drop a bad pun.
